Personalized Nursing, From My Heart to Your Home
The Heart Behind Sea You At Home
I have been a board-certified registered nurse since 2010. With 15 years of nursing experience and over a decade of providing private, in-home care, I am dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals and families through compassionate, competent, and personalized care.
I have known I wanted to be a nurse since I was five years old. My journey began in high school, working at a local hospital transporting patients. I went on to earn my bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Maine, Orono, in 2009. During nursing school, I worked as a personal care assistant for a young girl with mitochondrial disease. Caring for her and forming a deep connection with her family reinforced my passion for personal, relationship-based care.
After graduating from nursing school I began caring for Matthew, who had suffered a spinal cord injury in a car accident. I assisted him with daily care, medications, medical appointments, and later traveled with him to the Shepherd Center in Atlanta for specialized spinal cord rehabilitation. Over the years, Matthew and his family became my family, shaping my approach to care and inspiring me to start Sea You At Home.
In 2019, I earned a Master’s degree in Nursing Education from Curry College and have since taught clinical rotations for Northeastern University and Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. My career has included roles in post-operative orthopedic care, cardiology, endoscopy, school nursing, nursing leadership and most recently as a nurse educator for the Mass General Brigham Home Hospital. No matter the setting, I always found my greatest fulfillment in patients’ homes—building trust, providing skilled care, and forming meaningful connections with families.
What I love most about nursing is the ability to meet patients where they are, both physically and emotionally. Home care allows for more time to review treatment plans, teach new skills, and support patients and families through important decisions. My goal is to provide expert care with empathy, ensuring you and your loved ones feel comfortable, confident, and supported.
Outside of nursing, I love spending time with my husband and our three children. Whether it’s bike rides around the neighborhood, visits with family, or summers at our camper on Newfound Lake in New Hampshire.
